Norwich City vs Watford Preview

Things are now looking desperate for Norwich City following the weekends 1-0 home defeat to Manchester United; they now find themselves four points from safety with a poor goal difference which means they need to win both of their final games while hoping that other results go their way. The Canaries have lost their last four games and also failed to score in any of them. The sliver of good news is that Watford have nothing to play for and have lost their last three games on the road so unlikely as it may seem, we’re going for a home win.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Norwich City (home)  LLWDL  1.22 1.56
Watford (away)  LLLWL  1.00 1.50

Picks?

We’ll be picking players from this fixture if we need some cheap options and we’ll be avoiding defenders and erring towards Norwich midfielders and strikers.

Sunderland vs Everton Preview

Sunderland took a massive step towards Premier League safety by beating Chelsea 3-2 at the Stadium of Light at the weekend but they now need to beat Everton to ensure top flight survival.  Under Sam Allardyce, Sunderland have lost just once in nine games, their only loss being to champions Leicester City but before the Chelsea match had failed to score in three home matches.  Everton must desperate for season to end, marooned in mid-table and without a win away from home in five games. Unless they can snap out of the sort of poor form which saw them swept aside at Leicester last weekend this will be a home win.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Sunderland (home)  WDLDD  1.11 1.11
Everton (away)  LLDDL 1.33 1.22

Picks?

Sunderland must score and Jermain Defoe is the man to do just that so he’ll be on our team sheet. The home team are capable of clean sheets but including their defenders is also a bit of a risk.

Liverpool vs Chelsea Preview

Chelsea look as if they’ve finished the season early after scuppering Spurs’ chance to win the league and suffered a 3-2 reverse at Sunderland last weekend. They now have to face a Liverpool team improving all the time under Jurgen Klopp, Anfield appears to be something of a fortress once again and the Reds have seven wins and two draws from the last nine home games. They’ve also scored 25 goals in those games.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Liverpool (home)  WWDWW 1.78 1.17
Chelsea (away) LWLWL 1.44 1.22

Picks?

This looks like a home win for Klopp’s team and a performance full of possession and intent – go for midfielders and strikers from the home team and beware any Chelsea players.
