Czech Republic vs Croatia Preview

All four teams in Group D have produced some high quality football so far, especially Croatia who came away from a entertaining match with Turkey 1-0 winners. The Czech Republic held on against Spain for as long as possible but in the end the Spanish were too good and it was another 1-0 victory. Croatia are highly fancied by the bookies for the win here and we agree with that sentiment.

Picks?

Go for Croatian midfielders and strikers – only include defenders if the budget requires.

Spain vs Turkey Preview

Spain impressed us in their first game and should probably have scored more than the one goal they managed near the end of the match; their own goal rarely looked in danger and that means there is an opportunity here for some clean sheet points. Spain always play with plenty of possession and there should be plenty of points for their midfielders. Turkey may show some flashes of quality but it won’t be enough.

Spain WLWWD  1 0
Turkey LWWLW  0 1

Picks?

Go for Spanish players from any position, avoid Turkish players.

Italy vs Sweden Preview

Italy played out a superb 1-0 win against Belgium in their first group match and should be confident of another victory against a Swedish which looked plodding and mediocre in their opening 1-1 draw against the Republic of Ireland. Zlatan Ibrahimovic appeared to be the Swedes’ only standout player and the Italians should be canny enough to keep him at arms length.

Sweden  DWDDL 1 1

Picks?

We expect a 1-0 win to Italy here so Italian defenders should be your first choice along with midfielders and strikers to fill up the spaces.
