Guangzhou Evergrande vs Jiangsu Suning Preview

After fourteen games Guangzhou and Jiangsu occupy 1st and 3rd places in the CSL and this should be a decent game between two good teams. Guangzhou are unbeaten at home so far this season, averaging 1.75 goals scored and just 0.38 conceded. They should be fairly confident going into this match but Jiangsu have won three of the last five on the road after a slow start to the season. Jiangsu find it hard to keep a clean sheet away from home though so we still fancy the home team for a win.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Guangzhou WWWWL 1.50 0
Jiangsu LLDWL 0.6 1.8

Picks?

Pick mainly players from all positions from Guangzhou but Jingsu have a scoring chance so Alex Teixeira up front is usually a solid choice.

Chongqing Lifan vs Shandong Luneng Preview

We;re at the bottom of the league now for this tie with Chongqing in 13th place and Shandong in 14th; it’s been a struggle this season so far for both these teams but the home team did record a 1-0 win against bottom team hangzhou last week to end a run of six home games without a win. They now have a chance for three more points against a Shandong team without a win away from home in seven and only four goals scored in that sequence.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Chongqing WLWLW 1.25 1.0
Shandong LLWLL 0.60 1.40

Picks?

This could be a 0-0 draw but we’re going to be optimistic and root for the home team which means we’ll be looking at players from any position from Chongqing; fill in the gaps with Shandong defenders to hedge your bets.
