Slovakia vs England Preview

Group B is still wide open and although England now top the group after their 2-1 over Wales they still need a point against Slovakia on Monday. Some long-awaited substitutions against the Welsh finally turned the tables and may have persuaded Roy Hodgson that his first choice picks were not the correct ones. If so this should be a more comfortable win for England and they will qualify with seven points for the next stage. Slovakia are still playing to qualify however so England need to solidify their defence and goalkeeping if they are to keep a clean sheet.

Slovakia WLDWW 1.5 1.5
England WDWWW 1.5 1

Picks?

We have some renewed confidence in England so we’re going for the win and a clean sheet to boot so go for players from all positions in anticipation of several goals.

Russia vs Wales Preview

Russia can still qualify if they beat Wales and Slovakia lose to England but they’ve been so poor so far that it seems unlikely that they’ll get the better of Wales. Wales’ games have been marked by Gareth Bale’s ‘lucky’ free kicks and they’ll need a bit more of that invention and spirit to get past the Russians – but they should do and therefore qualify.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Russia LDDLL 1 1.5
Wales LWLLD 1.5 1.5

Picks?

We’ll be going for Welsh players from all position in this encounter and we should see more of an attacking display than the one against England. Go for Bale if you can afford him.
