Norwich City vs Manchester United Preview

After three straight defeats, Norwich City are in desperate relegation trouble with just three games to play and face a Manchester United side fighting for that fourth Champions League spot. The Canaries lost their last home match 3-0 to Sunderland and have won just once at Carrow Road in eight attempts. It’s still a bit difficult to tell which Manchester United side is going to turn up but they’ve won three of their last four away games and are the bookies favourites to grind out a win.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Norwich City (home) LWDLD 1.29 1.59
Manchester City (away) WWLWL 1.12 1.35

Picks?

The visitors should have lots of possession and also a decent chance of a clean sheet so defenders and midfielders are the order of the day; we predict a narrow win for United so perhaps avoid any strikers.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United Preview

This is an ideal chance for Newcastle United to pull themselves further from the relegation zone as they face an already-relegated Aston Villa side who have lost eleven games on the trot and six in a row at Villa Park. Villa have shown signs of scoring at home recently but they are up against a relatively in form Newcastle unbeaten in four games.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Aston Villa (home)  LLLLL  0.78 1.94
Newcastle United (away) DLLLL  0.67 2.28

Picks?

There should be a fair few goals in this match so avoid any defenders and instead go for Newcastle forwards/midfielders. Can Villa score for the third game in a row at home? If you think so then maybe a Villa striker is the way forward.

Bournemouth vs WBA Preview

These two teams now have nothing to play for which makes this a slightly tricky fixture to predict; it may well depend on which manager can distract their players’ attention from their summer holidays and we’re inclined to go with Eddie Howe and Bournemouth.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Bournemouth (home stats) LLLWW  1.22 1.17
WBA (away stats) DLLDD 0.72 1.17

Picks?

Charlie Daniels is always a top pick from the Bournemouth defence but there’s not much else here to get excited about. In fact it seems possible that a nil nil might be on the cards so defenders from both sides could be a decent pick.

Crystal Palace vs Stoke City Preview

Crystal Palace and Stoke are two more teams with little but pride to play for – Palace have won just twice in eight games and for Stoke it’s once in seven so there’s very little good form on show here. Again this is tough one to predict and a draw seems a likely outcome.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Crystal Palace (home stats)  WDWLL  0.94 1.22
Stoke City (away stats)  LLWDW 1.00 1.61

Picks?

This could be a very unpredictable match and so we would probably avoid any picks from this fixture.

Sunderland vs Chelsea Preview

Chelsea now have nothing to play for but they visit a Sunderland side needing a win to stand any chance of avoiding relegation; Chelsea demonstrated against Spurs that they still have a bit of fight about them but will they against Sunderland? Difficult to tell. A home win seems unlikely against a quality Chelsea team.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Sunderland (home stats)  DLDDW 1.00 1.06
Chelsea (away stats)  WLWLW 1.14 1.12

Picks?

Chelsea midfielders such as Cesc Fabregas should see plenty of the ball on Saturday but we’re not sure where else the points will be coming from; Jermain Defoe will need to be on top of his game to make the most of any chances which come his way.

West Ham vs Swansea Preview

West Ham still very much have something to play for and they host a Swansea side with nothing left to achieve this season. This is the biggest homer of the day and we expect a substantial home win and a clean sheet to boot.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
West Ham (home stats)  WLDDW  1.76 1.18
Swansea City (away stats)  LLDLW 1.00 1.72

Picks?

Any of the top points scores from West Ham are a good bet but avoid any Swansea players.

Leicester City vs Everton Preview

Leicester City are already Premier League champions but they would surely like to win their final home match to give the fans something extra to celebrate. Their opponents are an Everton team who have certainly underperformed this season and even their decent away form has deserted them in recent matches. We expect Leicester to win again and keep a clean sheet although we could be wrong.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Leicester City (home stats) WDWWD 1.78 0.94
Everton (away stats)  LDDLW 1.35 1.12

Picks?

We’d go for Leicester defenders but we’re not 100% sure of a home win with the title in the bag so goals may be hard to come by.
