Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton Preview

Spurs may have lost out on the title this year but they’ll still want to finish in second place above North London rivals Arsenal; Southampton will be no pushover and are still fighting for a a top six finish but Spurs should have too much quality for the Saints if they can avoid the last-minute wobbles they suffered against West Brom and Chelsea.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Spurs (home) DWWLD 1.89 0.72
Southampton (away)  WDLWL 1.00 1.00

Picks?

Spurs will dominate possession so go for their midfielders; pick their strikers if you’re confident of a solid home win but there’s a chance they’ll concede so avoid the defenders.

Liverpool vs Watford Preview

Liverpool are certainly improving under Jurgen Klopp but have proved susceptible to poor results against sides such as Watford over the course of the season. However they have won six out of eight at home with 23 goals scored and should have enough left in the tank to defeat a Watford team with management issues.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Liverpool (home)  WDWWW 1.76 1.24
Watford (away) LLWLW 1.06 1.47

Picks?

Liverpool players from any position should be a sensible pick but stay away from Watford players who will already be thinking about their summer holidays.

Manchester City vs Arsenal Preview

This should be a cracking match as 4th placed City host 3rd placed Arsenal in a match the home team need to win to overhaul the Gunners. City appear to have lost their spark though against Real Madrid in the week and may struggle to pick themselves up for this important tie. City haven’t conceded at home for three games so that’s a good omen but Arsenal will be up for this – a draw may be the most likely outcome.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Man City (home)  DWWWL 2.50 1.26
Arsenal (away stats) DDWLW 1.78 1.27

Picks?

Both sides have some very talented midfielders and strikers and if you follow the stats then you should go for City defenders too – they know how to keep a clean sheet at home.
