Hull City vs Derby County Preview

There’s a mountain to climb for Hull City this evening as they head to Hull to try and recover from a 3-0 home defeat in the first leg. Realistically this looks like a dead rubber but Derby are going to have to chuck everything at their hosts in the first half to try and get at least a goal and a foothold. Hull have been strong at home all season, averaging more than two goal per game and conceding only 0.52. The Rams have shown that they can score three away from home on several occasion this season but Hull are unlikely to be so generous.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Hull (home) WWDWW 2.04 0.52
Derby (away)  DWWLD 1.26 1.17

Picks?

Derby should have plenty of possession as they try to get the upper hand but we’d be happy with midfielders from both sides.

Manchester United vs Bournemouth Preview

Manchester United are one of the few teams who still have something to play for on Sunday and they face a Bournemouth team who should count this season as a success despite finishing 5th from bottom. United have found some steel at home in recent months and they concede very few goals at home; however they also score very few so we could be looking at a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.

Form All Games Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Man Utd (home) DWWWD 1.33 0.44
Bournemouth (away)  LWLWD 1.17 1.67

Picks?

A lack of potential goalscoring action makes it tough to pick strikers from either side – we would go for United midfielders for the possession and defenders for the clean sheet.
