Romania vs Switzerland Preview

Romania almost grabbed a draw in their opener against France but were ultimately beaten 2-1 by a late winner; now they face a Swiss team who scraped past ten man Albania 1-0 to join the French at the top of Group A. The Swiss remain favourites for the win with the bookies but this could be a tighter game than the price would suggest and one with very few goals.

Romania  LWLDD 1 2
Switzerland  WLLLW 1 0

Picks?

We’re inclined towards defenders from both sides as we think there’s a good chance of a 0-0 draw; however that’s a bit of a gamble and depending on strategy it could be worth going for Swiss goal scorers if the bookies are correct.

Russia vs Slovakia Preview

On to Group B then and despite Russia’s draw against England, this looks like a match between the two weakest teams; there’s very little in it from the bookies point of view with Russia edging the odds but to us this has ‘draw’ written all over it, 1-1 it we’re not mistaken.

Russia  DDLLW 1 1
Slovakia LDWWD 1 2

Picks?

We will be going for defenders and midfielders from both sides but steering clear of strikers.

France vs Albania Preview

France continued their good form going into this tournament with a 2-1 win against Romania in the first game; it was a little nervy at times but the late winner was justified by a dominant French display; they now face the weakest team in the tournament in the shape of Albania and can cement their place in the next stage with a win – it should be no problem.

Albania LLWWL  0 1

Picks?

Go for French players from all positions but avoid the Albanians.
