Sunday brings us part two of this FA Cup fifth round weekend and this is out entry into Mondogoal’s Sunday Freeroll with two all-Premier League ties and one other:

  • Blackburn Rovers vs West Ham
  • Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace
  • Chelsea vs Manchester City

Here’s Our Pick:

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris Spurs £8.3m
Defender Toby Alderweireld Spurs £9.0m
Defender Angelo Ogbonna West Ham £8.4m
Defender Gary Cahill Chelsea £8.1m
Midfielder Dele Alli Spurs £9.9m
Midfielder Cesc Fabregas Chelsea £11.7m
Midfielder Yaya Toure Manchester City £10.0m
Midfielder Dmitri Payet West Ham £13.0m
Forward Harry Kane Spurs £12.8m
Forward Nikica Jelavic West Ham £3.9m
Forward Pedro Chelsea £4.8m
£96,700,000

Overview

We expect West Hams and Spurs to win their matches and we’ve also got a feeling that an improving Chelsea side may be too strong for a shaky Manchester City outfit who surely need to concentrate on the league, whatever Manuel Pellegrini says.

Defence

Spurs ‘keeper Hugo Lloris is a our choice between the sticks and he’s behind teammate Toby Alderweireld; Spurs are generally strong in defence and may well keep a clean sheet against a Crystal Palace team in patchy form. West Ham’s Angelo Ogbonna and Chelsea’s Gary Cahill make up the back four numbers.

Midfield

Our midfield consists of four high-quality players from different teams – Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea), Yaya Toure (Man City), Dmitri Payet (West Ham) and Dele Alli (Spurs). Surely there’s some points in there?

Forwards

We’ve picked two Cheap Charlies up front in Nikica Jelavic (West Ham) and Pedro (Chelsea) but both are in decent form; Harry Kane (Spurs) should grab his usual haul of points.
