Every day we bring you what we think are some sensible selection options based on today’s upcoming matches; we’re not going to promise that these are guaranteed winners because if we could do that we’d all be millionaires by now. These players are all solid picks based on recent stats and their next opponents so check them out.
There are two mid-table Championship matches to take in tonight but the big draw is the second leg of the Capital One Cup at Anfield with the hosts already 1-0 up.
- Brentford vs Leeds United
- Nottingham Forest vs Queens Park Rangers
- Liverpool vs Stoke City (Capital One Cup 2nd leg)
|Goalkeeper||Dorus de Vries||Nottingham Forest||£9.8m|
|Defender||Daniel Pinillos||Nottingham Forest||£8.9m|
|Midfielder||Glenn Whelan||Stoke City||£6.4m|
|Forward||Nelson Oliviera||Nottingham Forest||£7.2m|
|Forward||Marko Arnautovic||Stoke City||£6.5m|
Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in 12 game sin all competitions although there have been too many draws to climb the table; they face 14th-placed QPR at the City Ground tonight.
Brentford vs Leeds is something of a mid-table clash although the visitors for is shaky; Brentford ended a losing streak with an impressive 3-1 victory at Preston last weekend.
Liverpool hold a 1-0 lead going into tonights second leg at Anfield so the visitors will have to attack, giving Liverpool the opportunity to score on the counter.
Forest are defensively solid and so we have Dorus de Vries in goal behind Daniel Pinillos; Paul Konchesky from QPR and Jake Bidwell (who can take a mean free kick) from Brentford make up the other two spots.
Jordan Ibe and Jordan Henderson from Liverpool should see plenty of the ball against Stoke tonight while Glenn Whelan from their opponents and Brentford’s star man Alan Judge should also pick up[ some points.
We fancy Roberto Firmino to score for Liverpool tonight and he’s alongside Stoke’s outstanding Marko Arnautovic who should be fit to play and Forest’s consistent Nelosn Oliviera.
