Overview
Manchester United look like the shoe-in for a win this weekend with a home tie against Southampton – we have four United players to make the most of that opportunity. Nothing else stands out as particularly obvious and we have a feeling that goals may be in short supply.
Defence
Davie de Gea and Matteo Darmian from Manchester United shore up our defence alongside Craig Dawson (for West Brom vs Aston Villa) and Nyom (for Watford vs Newcastle United).
Midfield
It’s a Manchester midfield with Yaya Toure and Kevin de Bruyne from City (away at West Ham) plus Juan Mata from United; we expect Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson to start against Norwich and he knows how to collect a point or two.
Forwards
Leicester’s Jamie Vardy is something of a risk up front as the goals appear to have dried up but we trust him to come good against Stoke City; Wayne Rooney should do the business for Manchester United and Jermain Defoe has been scoring for fun recently so his inclusion was an easy decision – Sunderland face Bournemouth at home.
