After a reasonably quiet week of FA Cup matches we’re back to business as usual in the Premier League; the following pick is from the six later matches on Saturday and it’s also our entry into Mondogoal’s Freeroll competition.

  • Norwich City vs West Ham
  • Everton vs West Brom
  • Swansea vs Southampton
  • Bournemouth vs Stoke City
  • Crystal Palace vs Watford
  • Chelsea vs Newcastle United

Here’s Our Pick:

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois Chelsea £8.2m
Defender Ashley Williams Swansea £8.5m
Defender Cesar Azpilicueta Chelsea £10.6m
Defender Seamus Coleman Everton £8.8m
Midfielder Willian Chelsea £10.4m
Midfielder Ross Barkley Everton £13.1m
Midfielder Sadio Mane Southampton £8.8m
Midfielder Andros Townsend Newcastle United £7.3m
Forward Romelu Lukaku Everton £10.1m
Forward Diego Costa Chelsea £8.6m
Forward Aroune Kone Everton £4.9m

Everton and Chelsea look like the best bets for some guaranteed Fantasy Football points on Saturday among a selection of fixtures which is not the most appealing; most of these games feature teams in poor form at home hosting teams on a bad run on the road so team selection is a little tricky.

Chelsea’s Thibault Courtois and Cesar Azpilicueta form the basis of our defence and there’s a reasonable chance of a clean sheet against Newcastle United; Everton’s Seamus Colman should also see some points against West Brom while Swansea’s Ashley Williams can score points at both ends of the pitch.

Chelsea and Everton also feature strongly in midfield with Willian and Ross Barkley respectively; they are lined up alongside Southampton’s Sadio Mane and Newcastle’s Andros Townsend. Townsend may not be a guaranteed starter so this selection may change closer to kick-off.

Up front we have the ever-reliable Romelu Lukaku from Everton and Diego Costa from Chelsea; we’ve also picked Everton’s Aroune Kone as a cheap but consistent option.
