Rayo Vallecano vs Getafe Preview

Rayo Vallecano occupy 16th place in La Liga but have proven relatively hard to beat, losing just 2 of the last 11 but without a win in 6. At home their only defeat in 6 has been a 5-1 hammering by Barcelona. Getafe are in a worse situation down in 18th and without a win in 10; away from home they’ve lost 5 on the trot and conceded 19 goals, scoring just 2.

League Form Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Rayo Vallecano  DLDWW  1.33  1.60
Getafe  LLLLL  0.64  2.86

We don’t fancy anyone from Getafe but would be happy with Vallecano defenders and midfielders; their strikers have been poor and are best avoided.

Monaco vs Bordeaux Preview

This looks like a shoe-in for the home team who are currently 2nd in Ligue 1 and unbeaten in 9 games overall and 12 at home; defensively they’ve been strong all season but have conceded 3 goals in their last 2 games on their own turf. Bordeaux are having a disappointing season down in 14th place and have won just once in the last 8 attempts; away from home they are actually slightly stronger with 2 wins in 6 but Monaco should be too good.

League Form Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
Monaco  DWWWW  1.47  0.93
Bordeaux  DDWDL  1.13  2.20

We’re happy with Monaco players from anywhere on the pitch; up front Wagner Love is in good scoring form while Thomas Lemar in midfield and Danijel Subasic in goal are solid picks.

QPR vs Middlesbrough Preview

Arguably QPR are in better form than Boro heading into this match at Loftus Road on Friday evening but it’s the Teesiders who are just one point outside the automatic promotion positions while QPR are in 11th place.

QPR have won 4 of the last 5 at home and each of those victories featured a clean sheet with a total of 8 goals scored; Boro have lost the last three away games, scoring just once and conceding 5. Two of these matches were against Rotherham and Charlton – both relegation contenders.

League Form Last 5  Average Goals Scored  Average Goals Conceded
QPR  WWWLW  1.63  1.05
Middlesbrough LLLWD  1.11  0.89

We have to look at QPR players for this tie from all positions and there are some bargains available such as striker Sebastian Polter who can free up some of your budget. Tjaronn Chery has been scoring from midfield and any of the defenders are worth a look.
