Orlando City vs Houston Dynamo Preview
This match pitches mid-table Orlando from the Eastern Conference against Houston Dynamo who are currently propping up the Western Conference. Orlando are unbeaten in the league at home so far this season and although they’ve drawn more than they would like, they know how to score goals on their own patch with nine bagged in the last four home games. Houston are yet to win away and have in fact lost five of their nine games on the road so this looks like a tough trip.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
Orlando | WDDWD | 2.11 | 1.56 |
Houston | LDDLL | 1.00 | 1.89 |
Picks?
There’s a chance Houston could nab a draw here but we’re more keen on a home win so go for Orlando midfielders and strikers; avoid their defenders if possible as they tend to leak goals quite easily.
San Jose Earthquakes vs FC Dallas Preview
This is a Western Conference affair and it sees the San Jose Earthquakes host to top-of-the-league Dallas in what looks like a tricky tie for the home team. San Jose are in eighth place after 17 games but their home record is very good – they are unbeaten in eight with five wins from that sequence; however the last two games have been drawn. Dallas have their problems on the road with just one win and three defeats from the last five trips so this could be quite a close-run thing. In particular they concede far too many goals.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
San Jose | DDWWW | 1.38 | 0.50 |
Dallas | LDWLL | 1.11 | 2.00 |
Picks?
Go for San Jose defenders in particular but also midfielders and strikers from both teams.
