Manchester United vs Manchester City Preview
This is one of the biggest matches of the season so far as Jose Mourinho hosts Pepe Guardiola at Old Trafford and it will be a proper test of how far Manchester United have progressed under their new manager. Both teams have 100% records so far with plenty of goals scored and although the bookies make the home side narrow favourites, this could go either way.
Avoid defenders and go for strikers/midfielders from either side in anticipation of some goals.
Arsenal vs Southampton Preview
After a slow start, Arsenal now need to build on their win at Watford with a another at home against Southampton on Saturday. The omens are good as Arsenal looked almost unstoppable in the first half at Vicarage Road and face a Saints team with just two draws and a defeat from three games so far.
This should be a home banker so we’ll be selecting Arsenal players from all positions and avoiding Southampton.
Bournemouth vs WBA Preview
It’s been a poor start from Bournemouth so far and they now need to get some points in the bag to avoid a what already looks like a tough second season in the Premier League. One point from three games is the total so far and they now face a WBA team safely in mid-table after one win, one loss and one draw. WBA look like a difficult side to predict and this result could go either way.
We’ll be steering clear of players from this exchange unless absolutely necessary.
Burnley vs Hull City Preview
Burnley have one win and two losses to their names so far and they entertain a Hull City side at Turfmoor on Saturday who’ve made a surprisingly good start – up in fifth place with two wins and a defeat from three games. Burnley generally get their tactics right but lack the player quality to get the better of many teams but they could have a chance here against a similar side.
Burnley are struggling for goals so there’s a risky option of selecting Hull defenders but the choice is yours.
Middlesbrough vs Crystal Palace Preview
Middlesbrough are another unfancied team who’ve made an excellent unbeaten start to the season with twi draws and a win; they now host a Crystal Palace side with just one point to show from three games so far. This looks like a home win but Palace and Pardew will surely get their act together sooner rather than later. The stats would suggest a narrow win or low scoring draw.
Go for Boro defenders in anticipation of a clean sheet.
Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview
It’s been a terrible start to the season for Stoke City with two defeats and a draw so far; they now have a real test against Spurs who are unbeaten but with only one win so far. The London side haven’t really cranked into life yet but Stoke will be trying to make sure they get nothing from what is always a tough trip to the Britannia Stadium.
Spurs should have plenty of the ball so their midfielders should be worth a few points; both teams are struggling for goals so stay away from the strikers.
West Ham vs Watford Preview
West Ham have a decent opportunity this weekend to kick start a season which has seen a win and two defeats from three games so far; however those two losses came away against Chelsea and Man City and those performances weren’t bad. They should win against a Watford outfit with just one point to their name this season.
This should be another home banker so go for West Ham players from all positions.
Liverpool vs Leicester City Preview
Things don’t get easier for the current champions and this weekend they visit Anfield to take on a talented but inconsistent Liverpool team. This could be a cracking match with loads of Liverpool possession and swift counterattacks from the Foxes but a home win looks like the most likely outcome.
We’ll be going for Liverpool midfielders/strikers and perhaps Jamie Vardy from Leicester in anticipation of a breakaway goal.
