Manchester City vs Bournemouth Preview
Manchester City added to their winning start to the domestic season with a comprehensive Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening and this means they start as very strong favourites against Bournemouth on Saturday. City are averaging 2.5 goals per game in the Premier League and the only hope for Bournemouth is that Pep’s team have conceded one goal in each of their two home games so far – it’s a tough trip for the Cherries but they did manage a win last week against WBA.
This is a home win so go for City players from all positions; avoid Bournemouth players.
Hull City vs Arsenal Preview
Arsenal have made their customary patchy start to the season but two wins in two games should mean they approach this game at Hull with some confidence; Hull began with two straight wins but have since lost at home to Man Utd and drawn away at Burnley so perhaps Mike Phelan’s fairy dust is wearing off. Arsenal should have plenty of possession here and as long as they are clinical in front of goal they can come away with a win.
Arsenal midfielders will be our picks from this match.
Leicester City vs Burnley
The Foxes got their inaugural Champions League season of to a flying start against FC Bruges on Wednesday evening and will now approach this home match with Burnley in a very positive frame of mind. These sides are level on points at this early stage of the season but we have to assume that the champs will bag a second home win on Saturday afternoon, especially with the addition of Islam Slimani to the squad.
We fancy a Leicester win so go for goal scorers and defenders from the home team.
WBA vs West Ham Preview
Three defeats out of four games is a terrible start for West Ham, especially in their new stadium but they have a chance of some points at the Hawthorns on Saturday when they face a West Brom team with two losses and a draw in the last three games. It may do the Hammers good to get away from the Olympic Stadium which is clearly facing some teething problems but it’s hard to predict a result either way here.
Dmitri Payet is always a good points scorer but there’s no clear winner here for us – steer clear unless absolutely necessary.
Everton vs Middlesbrough Preview
Everton have made a cracking start to the season with three wins and a draw from four games and they find themselves in third place ahead of this visit from MIddlesbrough. Newly-promoted Boro are in 9th place at the moment but have lost and drawn the last two games, scoring only one goal in the process. This looks like a home banker in terms of fantasy football and a clean sheet in addition.
Go for Everton players from all positions but stay away from Boro personnel.
