Burnley vs Liverpool Preview
Burnley may have expected more from their opening Premier League match at home against Swansea but could only manage a 1-0 defeat; now they must take on Liverpool at Turfmoor who began the season in spectacular fashion with a 4-3 win away at Arsenal. This is a match which promises more goals but probably only for the visitors.
Picks?
Go for Liverpool players, especially midfielders and strikers, avoid Burnley players.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace Preview
After a 1-1 draw at Everton, Spurs will be expecting a win at home against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon; Spurs did well in the end to grab a draw at Goodison Park but should be well capable of earning all three points against a Palace side who could only manage a 1-0 defeat at home to WBA.
Picks?
We will be picking as many Spurs players as budget allows and avoiding Palace players.
Swansea City vs Hull City
Swansea and Hull both began the season with slightly surprising wins against Burnley and champions Leicester City respectively. Hull played superbly against the Foxes but we feel they will struggle against a well-organised Swansea team who will have watched how they play and will be looking for two wins out of two.
Picks?
A 1-0 win seems like the right sort of result here so Swansea defenders will be our choice from this match.
West Bromwich Albion vs Everton
WBA recorded a somewhat surprising victory away against Crystal Palace last weekend but this home match against an improved Everton team under Ronald Koeman might be a little tougher. Everton were perhaps unlucky to come away with only a draw against Spurs at Goodison Park last weekend and can get straight back on track here.
Picks?
We’ll be sticking with Everton players from this fixture and avoiding those from the home team.
Watford vs Chelsea
Chelsea made a solid but slow start to the season with a 2-1 win over West Ham and it was important for Antonio Conte to kick things off for a win. They now make the relatively short trip to Watford to take on a side which managed a creditable 1-1 draw away at Southampton. This should be a second straight win for the Blues as the new players settle into their stride.
Picks?
Go for Chelsea players from all positions but don’t use any from Watford.
Leicester City vs Arsenal
Both of these sides lost their opening games last weekend and it’s fair to say that they will both have expected a win; Leicester didn’t look like the same team which stormed to the title last season and Arsenal always looked like conceding, despite scoring four themselves. This is a tough game to predict and the bookies prices aren’t giving much away either.
Picks?
All we foresee from this match is goals so go for strikers from both sides and midfielders from Arsenal – they’ll have all the possession.
