Watford vs Manchester United Preview
Watford managed a surprising 4-2 win at West Ham’s new Olympic Stadium last weekend but that still doesn’t make them favourites against a Manchester United side who lost to Feyenoord on Thursday and Manchester City last weekend. Jose Mourinho will almost certainly revert to his strongest side for this match which should mean the return of Wayne Rooney to provide the creativity which was lacking against the Dutch side.
Picks?
We expect a win and a clean sheet for the away side in an improved performance so select your players from Manchester United.
Crystal Palace vs Stoke City Preview
Stoke City are rock bottom of the league with three wins and a draw from four games so far and this Sunday they make the trip to Selhurst Park to take on a Crystal Palace side now safely in mid-table after a draw and a win in two games. Stoke do not seem to be improving and have conceded nine goals in three games, scoring just one. Stoke will win eventually but although Palace are yet to win at home, this won’t be three points for the visitors.
Picks?
This feels like a draw or a home win so pick from home players accordingly.
Southampton vs Swansea City Preview
Southampton have made a surprisingly bad start to the season and while there’s nothing to worry about yet they have drawn two and lost two of their games. Swansea city are the visitors on Sunday and after a good start they have lost two and drawn one. Swansea will have taken plenty of confidence from their 2-2 draw with Chelsea last weekend but the Saints managed a great 3-0 win against Sparta Prague during the week so this could be a decent game.
Picks?
We fancy some goals here for both sides and a home win so go for midfielders and strikers from both teams.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Sunderland
This is the nearest thing to a home banker this Sunday and it pits fifth place Spurs against a Sunderland team who’ve lost three and drawn one of their games so far. Sunderland’s low point was the 3-0 defeat at home against Everton last weekend while Spurs had their best performance of the season in a 4-0 win away at Stoke City. Spurs are unbeaten so far and should win this with something to spare.
Picks?
Players from all positions from the home team.
