Sunderland vs Middlesbrough Preview

Just the second week of the Premier League season and we already have our first North East derby between newly-promoted Middlesbrough and a Sunderland team who narrowly escaped relegation last season and then lost their manager. The home team are favourites but only just and that seems a little unfair after a spirited but ultimately futile effort at Manchester City last weekend. Boro managed a confidence building home draw against Stoke City but this will be a tougher prospect.

We fancy a Sunderland win to nil so go for home players from all positions.

West Ham vs Bournemouth Preview

West Ham came within a few minutes of holding out for a draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend but there’s certainly some room for improvement for Slaven Bilic’s team and they will want to get back on track with a win against a Cherries outfit who suffered a fairly comprehensive home defeat against a lively Manchester United at Dean Court. This should be a win for the Hammers and a tough start to the season for Eddie Howe’s men.

Use West Ham players from all positions but steer clear of Bournemouth players unless you need Max Gradel to make up the numbers.
