Flamengo vs Santa Cruz Preview
This looks like a solid homer and it features second placed Flamengo against second-from-bottom Santa Cruz; Flamengo may have slipped up recently away from home but on their own patch they’ve won eight games in row, scoring an average of just under two goals in each. For their part Santa Cruz have lost five and drawn two of their last eight road trips so this should be one way traffic.
Picks?
Go for Flamengo players from all positions, avoiding those from Santa Cruz.
America Mineiro vs Palmeiras Preview
America Mineiro are rock bottom of the league after 28 games and they now face the visit of Palmeiras who are three points clear at the top of the league. America have perked up recently with two straight 1-0 wins at home but they face the league leaders who have won four out of their last five league games away from home and are odds on to add one more victory here.
Picks?
We’ll be picking Palmeiras players, especially midfielders and strikers in anticipation of an away win.
Figueirense vs Botafogo Preview
Figueirense have now dropped into the bottom four of Serie A after a poor run of form which has seen them earn just four points from five games; at home though they are difficult to beat and have won two out of three of their last three games at the Estadio Orlando Scarpelli. They face a Botafogo team safely in mid-table but good away from home with three wins from five and just two goals conceded.
Picks?
This is a difficult one to call but if you need players from this fixture, avoid defenders.
