Jamaica vs Venezuela Preview
Neither Jamaica or Venezuela will trouble the later qualifying stages of the Copa America, ranking respectively at 55 and 74 in the FIFA’s list. Venezuela though are the narrow favourites for a win here and have proved difficult to beat away from home in recent games; they’ve drawn four one of the last five matches on the road including a creditable 2-2 away at Peru in their final World Cup qualifier. They know how to score goals and will prove a test for a Jamaican side who have lost three of the last five at home, conceding nine goals in the process.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
Jamaica | DLLLW | 1.00 | 1.00 |
Venezuela | DLDDD | 1.67 | 3.00 |
Picks?
We predict a win for the visitors or a draw so we’re inclined towards players from any position from Venezuela; stay away from Jamaican players.
Mexico vs Uruguay Preview
This should be a much higher quality match between two teams who will almost certainly progress from Group C into the laster stages of the competition. This match may well determine which team finishes top of the group. Mexico have shown themselves to be very strong at home recently, winning the last five and keeping clean sheets in four. Uruguay have been patchy on the road recently with two wins, two defeats and a draw from five games but they do generally score goals.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
Mexico | WWWWW | 1.80 | 0.00 |
Uruguay | DLWLW | 1.67 | 1.33 |
Picks?
We like the look of players from any position from Mexico including defenders because of their recent run of clean sheets. Uruguay should see the ball in midfield.
