West Ham vs Watford Preview
West Ham are clear favourites for this tie and lie in 6th place in the Premier League, fighting for that one Europa League spot. The Hammers are unbeaten at home in 16 matches although they are not particularly prolific scorers and often concede. Watford are without a win in six home and away and they were beaten 4-0 at Arsenal on the last road trip. The Hornets are generally capable of scoring one goal away from home but but will usually concede more.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
West Ham (home) | LDDWW | 1.69 | 1.19 |
Watford (away) | WLWLW | 1.06 | 1.38 |
Picks?
Avoid Watford defenders as we expect a West ham win after two consecutive home draws; Dmitri Payet is always a solid but expensive pick and striker Andy Carroll scored a hat trick. Troy Deeney and Odion Aghalo are reasonable striking options for Watford.
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace Preview
Manchester United remain in danger of missing out on European competition next year with West Ham breathing down their collective necks and they were comprehensively beaten 3-0 at Spurs last weekend. They are solid at home however and unbeaten in seven games although they’ve scored just once in the last four games. Crystal Palace ended an 14 game run without a win in the league with a 1-0 victory over Norwich last weekend but this looks like a tougher proposition. We predict a narrow home win.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
Man United (home) | WWDDW | 1.31 | 1.12 |
Crystal Palace (away) | DDWDL | 1.19 | 1.31 |
Picks?
Choose Man United defenders/goalkeeper for the likely clean sheet and high scoring midfielders from other team who will be battling for possession in midfield.
Liverpool vs Everton Preview
Local derbies can often throw up unexpected results but the last three league fixtures have all been low scoring draws and from a fan’s point of view we hope for something a little more exciting. Perhaps Jurgen Klopp’s evolving team can provide it as Liverpool push to finish as high as possible in the league. The Reds have won three or the last four home games, scoring 10 and conceding just 2. Everton are struggling somewhat in 14th place in the league but were solid on the road until the last two games – a loss at Old Trafford and a draw at Vicarage Road.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
Liverpool (home) | WWDWW | 1.60 | 1.27 |
Everton (away) | DDLWW | 1.44 | 0.94 |
Picks?
Liverpool should dominate possession and win this game, quite possible keeping a clean sheet in the process; any player from Liverpool should be a decent selection and from Everton? Ross Barkley in midfield is usually worth a few creative points.
