Paris St. Germain vs Manchester City Preview
Two of the richest clubs in the world come face to face here and it’s the French side which start as strong favourites against a City side in very patchy recent form. PSG’s recent league form has actually been a bit iffy but they are already champions of their league and able to rest players with a view to this game. Manchester City are in danger of not qualifying for the Champions League next year and cannot rest any players for any matches.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
PSG (home stats) | DWWWW | 2.73 | 0.73 |
Manchester City (away stats) | LWWDW | 0.93 | 1.00 |
Picks?
City have a chance of getting something from this match but it seems unlikely; we would avoid most City defenders but we may gamble on Joe Hart in goal – he should make plenty of saves. There may be a place for City midfielders/strikers if the budget demands. PSG should offer plenty of selection choices in any position.
VfL Wolfsburg vs Real Madrid Preview
Wolfsburg have done very well to reach this stage of the competition but the mid-table German side have their work cut out here against a Real Madrid side who are strong favourites to win both legs. Wolfsburg are without a win in two in the Bundesliga and up against a Madrid side scoring for fun and winning for kicks.
Form All Games Last 5 | Average Goals Scored | Average Goals Conceded
Bayern Munich (home stats) | WWLWW | 3.31 | 0.46 |
Benfica (away stats) | WWWWW | 2.21 | 0.57 |
Picks?
We don’t really fancy any Wolfsburg players but we’ll be looking for as many Madrid players as we can squeeze into our team given our budget.
