Every day we bring you what we think are some sensible selection options based on today’s upcoming matches; we’re not going to promise that these are guaranteed winners because if we could do that we’d all be millionaires by now. These players are all solid picks based on recent stats and their next opponents so check them out.
It’s a quiet week on the footballing front which means that on Friday evening we’re concentrating on three games from three different European leagues – Spain, France & Italy.
- Sporting Gijon vs Rayo Vallecano
- Rennes vs Angers
- Carpi vs Roma
Here’s Our Pick:
|Defender||Alberto Lora||Sporting Gijon||£6.6m|
|Defender||Razvan Rat||Rayo Vallecano||£8.1m|
|Forward||Stephen El Shaarawy||Roma||£8.0m|
|Forward||Antonio Sanabria||Sporting Gijon||£6.1m|
Roma look like a decent bet to earn some points, they are currently fifth in Serie A and visit a Carpi team third from bottom with no win in four. Roma have won their last three and lost just once in ten league games.
Rayo Vallecano & Sporting Gijon occupy 15th and 16th places in Serie A respectively but both are in reasonable form – Vallecano have lost once in six and Gijon are unbeaten in three.
In the French league 5th placed Angers visit 9th placed Rennes; Angers have lost four of the last five while Rennes have lost two of the last three. Both teams are on poor runs.
Roma’s Wojciech Szczesny takes his place in goal behind his teammate Antonio Rudigerand we hope for a clean sheet for those two; alongside we’ve picked Gijon’s Alberto Lora Vallecano’s brilliantly named Tazvan rat.
It’s a diverse midfield and we’re somewhat hedging our bets with Roma’s Miralen Pjanic, Vallecano’s Jozabed, Gijon’s Jony and our sole entry from the French league, Rennes Juan Quintero.
Roma seem to be still deciding on settled striker but Stephen El Shaarway can do the business if he is picked; he’s joined by Gijon’s Antonio Sanabria and Vallecano’s Miku – both consistent scorers.
