Overview
This is a lineup of fixtures with no obvious outcomes unless Liverpool can show some much-needed consistency at Villa Park; there looks to be goals in all three matches so a three-at-the-back formation seems like a good idea.
Defence
We’re banking on a Liverpool clean sheet at Aston Villa so we’ve gone for the (slightly risky) Simon Mignolet in goal behind Nathaniel Clyne; Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal and Manchester City’s Bacary Sagna line up alongside them.
Midfield
Danny Drinkwater from Leicester City always seems to be a cheap but consistent scorer and he lines up alongside an eclectic mix of players from other teams including James Milner from Liverpool, Yaya Toure from Manchester City and Mousa Dembele from Spurs (surely there’s some points in there somewhere).
Forwards
We’ve taken something of a punt on Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge, now back from injury and looking sharp in his appearances so far; Sergio Aguero costs a fortune but seems to still be worth it. Arsenal’s Theo Walcott is a cheap option but we’ll have to check the lineups at the last minute to see if he starts.
