The final two matches of this Champions League round take place on Wednesday and after the heavyweight matchups of last night these two games perhaps don’t look as enticing – however they are interesting from a Fantasy Footie point of view:

  • Dynamo Kyiv vs Manchester City
  • PSV Eindhoven vs Atletico Madrid

Here’s Our Pick:

When the league has ended, click here to see the results.

Goalkeeper Jan Oblak Atletico Madrid £9.7m
Defender Filipe Luis Atletico Madrid £10.5m
Defender Aleksander Dragovic Dynamo Kyiv £8.9m
Defender Aleksander Kolarov Manchester City £8.5m
Midfielder Saul Niguez Atletico Madrid £7.6m
Midfielder Andres Guardado PSV £9.9m
Midfielder Yaya Toure Manchester City £10.0m
Midfielder Sergiy Sydorchuk Dynamo Kyiv £4.5m
Forward Antoine Griezmann Atletico Madrid £9.1m
Forward Sergio Aguero Manchester City £14.5m
Forward Derlis Gonzalez Dynamo Kyiv £6.5m

Atletico Madrid are second in Spain’s Primera Division, although a fair few points behind Barcelona but they’re in good form and finished top of a moderately strong Group C in the league stages of this competition. They are strong favourites to get a result at a PSV team who are very impressive domestically but weaker against Europe’s best teams.

Dynamo Kyiv host Manchester City in what should be a close match, perhaps decided by just one goal. City will pay a full strength team after fielding a range of teenagers in their FA CUP loss to Chelsea last weekend.

Atletico’s keeper Jan Oblak and defender Filipe Luis prop up our defence and they are joined by two Aleksanders – Dragovic from Dynamo and the reliable Kolarov from Manchester City.

Our four man midfieldi includes one player from each team and for a very cheap option we’ve taken a punt on Dynamo’s Sergiy Sydorchuk to save some money for the more expensive players. Those are Andres Guardado from PSV, Saul Niguez from Atletico and Yaya Toure from City.

It’s a reasonably strong forward line up with City’s Sergio Aguero to guarantee some points, Antoine Griezmann from Atletico and Derlis Gonzalez from Dynamo Kyiv.
