Wednesday brings up very few matches – only two in fact but that’s enough to pick from teams involved in Serie A and the Capital One Cup. This entry is for Mondogoal’s Global Freeroll:

  • Napoli vs Torino
  • Everton vs Manchester City (Capital One Cup Semi-Final)

Our Pick (3-4-3)

Goalkeeper Jose Reina Napoli £9.3m
Defender Juan Zuniga Napoli £10.1m
Defender Bacary Sagna Manchester City £9.2m
Defender Phil Jagielka Everton £8.5m
Midfielder Jonathan de Guzman Napoli £8.5m
Midfielder Giuseppe Vives Torino £6.3m
Midfielder Tom Cleverley Everton £8.1m
Midfielder Fabian Delph Manchester City £7.4m
Forward Gonzalo Higuain Napoli £16.4m
Forward Gerard Deulofeu Everton £7.4m
Forward Raheem Sterling Manchester City £8.4m
Total Price – £99,600,000

Napoli are currently third in Serie A and playing at home against a Torino team in 13th place and in poor form so the spine of our team comes from Napoli; in goal we have the experienced Jose Reina just behind Juan Zuniga. Everton and Manchester City will play out what looks like a close game at Goodison park tonight and we’ve included the Toffees’ Phil Jagielka and the Blues’ Bacary Sagna. Sagna is not a shoe-in to play but could score well if he starts.

Napoli’s Jonathan de Guzman is the first name in midfield but we’re hedging our bets somewhat with the inclusion of the consistent Giuseppe Vives from Torino. Everton’s Tom Cleverly and City’s Fabian Delphfill up the gaps in the centre of the park.

Our pricey superstar is Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain who regularly racks up more than 20 FF points per game and he appears alongside the consistent Raheem Sterling and Gerad Deulafou from City and Everton respectively.
