Tuesday evening brings is an extremely important set of Premier League fixtures with the league leaders in action at home as well as four other interesting match-ups:

  • Aston Villa vs Everton
  • Bournemouth vs Southampton
  • Leicester City vs West Bromwich Albion
  • Norwich City vs Chelsea
  • Sunderland vs Crystal Palace

Here’s Our Pick:

Goalkeeper Kasper Scheichel Leicester City £7.6m
Defender Robert Huth Leicester City £7.8m
Defender Branislav Ivanovic Chelsea £9.4m
Defender Charlie Daniels Bournemouth £8.9m
Midfielder Ross Barkley Everton £13.7m
Midfielder Cesc Fabregas Chelsea £12.9m
Midfielder Willian Chelsea £11.9m
Midfielder Lee Cattermole Sunderland £3.5m
Midfielder Yohan Cabaye Crystal Palace £5.9m
Forward Jermain Defoe Sunderland £7.5m
Forward Jamie Vardy Leicester City £10.3m

Leicester City just about kept their title challenge on course with a late win over Norwich City last weekend and must now repeat that performance against an improving West Brom side; we think they’ll sneak it again with a clean sheet.

Chelsea feature heavily for us also in all three outfield positions and they are odds on to triumph at Norwich City tonight.

The remaining spots are filled by cheaper but reliable players from three other teams playing this evening.

Leicester’s Kasper Schmiechel is between the sticks behind teammate Robert Huth and they are joined by Chelsea’s Branislac Ivanovic and Bournemouth’s Charlie Daniels. The Cherries may not keep a clean sheet against a sharp Saints side but Daniels scores plenty of assists and dead ball points also.

We have a five man midfield and a strong one including Cesc Fabregas and Willian from Chelsea and Rss Barkley from Everton; Yohan Cabaye from Crystal Palace should be useful if he starts and Sunderland’s Lee Cattermole is a cheap option.

Just two strikers then – Jermain Defoe from Sunderland and Jamie Vardy from Leicester; it’s a bit of a risk because both these players can score for fun or completely fail.
